FRUIT: Apricot
CULTIVATION AREA: Neaples Province, Italy
PROCESSING AND DISTILLATION:
Pilzer Apricot Brandy is made from premium fruit grown on the slopes of Vesuvius, an area with a long
tradition of cultivation of this fruit. The apricot is considered one of the most difficult fruits to distill due to
its great delicacy. Once the fruit is perfectly ripe it is prepared into a puree and the fermentation period
begins. It will be distilled with the traditional discontinuous bain-marie still with great care, to preserve the
delicate notes. The Brandy ages for more than a year in steel tanks before being bottled.
PROPERTIES:
The Apricot Brandy presents itself crystal clear. It has a delicate but fragrant aroma, with an alcoholic note
that pleasantly enhances apricot flavor. The taste is fully reminiscent of fresh, ripe fruit and has pleasant
sweet persistence.
TASTING:
We recommend to taste it fresh, at around 16 °C. Store it in a cool dark place.
